Sustainability and the NSS survey

Posted in: Comment, News and Updates

I've written before about valiant attempts to insert some real-world questions about sustainability into the UK's national student survey within universities.  It's all come to naught, it seems as Hefce hunkers (or is that bunkers?) down to concentrate on core questions; any optional question banks might be thought about "at another time", it seems.  Fat chance.

The core questions, in question, are those which allow institutions to demonstrate on how good they are at basics, and there's no sense in risking everything by having questions about peripherals.

Oh, Hefce, where have all your yesterdays gone and all those bright tomorrows?
