Congratulations to the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom for winning the 2019 Dullest Conference Byline award (international). There was tough competition for this annual award, but CLOtC's entry for their November 7th 2019 conference in Blackpool: Beyond the Classroom was the judges' unanimous selection.
The judges' citation read:
"We felt that the award must go to CLOtC in recognition of the complete lack of imagination involved. We did note, however, the scintilla of creativity on display in the substitution of 'beyond' for 'outside', and appreciated that this would provide opportunities for nuanced textual analysis on social media, and for conversation during dull conference sessions or over a drink afterwards."
