I see that the Government has launched a £25m Species Survival Fund to boost restoration of natural habitats. It says that this will help to drive action to reduce habitat loss and safeguard the UK’s fragile ecosystems and create nature-rich landscapes. This comes c/o the Heritage Fund.
£25 million pounds! This is not a lot of money to do this especially as it does not seem to be focused on preventing the root cause of the problem.
I wonder, if schools teach about the inadequacy of this meagre strategy, will they run the risk of being seen as political or as biased?
