Your friendly PGR Champion Tam here reporting back from our second social which was held this week.
On Tuesday April 25th we took over a large table in All Bar One and gathered for some (payday!) wine, beer, cocktails and mocktails.
We had lots of familiar faces from our first social, it was great to see people again, and we also met some new faces too. We’re really happy that we had people return and come to a social for the first time. It was good to know we haven’t scared anyone of yet – phew!
We’ve had some more great feedback, people very happy that the group is growing and becoming more visible, and also some comments that the group is very sociable and friendly.
One thing that did come about as a result of this social was our realisation that we really did need some appropriate signage or some form of mascot to help identify us when we are out and about. We can now confirm that our mascot has been ordered and is winging its way to Bath in time for out next social. We’ll go with they/them pronouns shall we? And perhaps we can have a gender neutral naming competition?! If you want to meet them, come along to our film night on May 10th, or our picnic later in May (date TBC). We’ll also make sure that we put a profile up for them on the website so everybody knows who to look out for!
