Come join our final Connect! event of the year

Does your research aim to tackle social isolation? Want to meet others exploring this issue and make a few new connections yourself? If you are a researcher looking to connect with the wider community in Bath and/ or simply passionate about building a more connected BANES, join us for our final Connect! of the year.

Connect! is an event programme produced by us here at the University of Bath's Public Engagement Unit and Bath Spa University. Connect! events aim to support networking between researchers and community organisations, charities, creative practitioners, social enterprises, and statutory organisations across Bath and North East Somerset.

Connect! - Tackling Social Isolation

When: Thursday 4th December 12 - 2pm

Where: The Percy Centre, Bath BA1 2BN

Our fifth event will focus on social isolation- its challenges, opportunities, and the inspiring work being done to address it. Over a long table and some delicious food from Bath Community Kitchen (who are also doing brilliant work to alleviate social isolation through communal meals and cooking classes) you will have the chance to meet new people, discover exciting projects, and share your own ideas.  More information will be sent out ahead of time as we will be shaping the event based on the areas of interest of who signs up.

Who is it for?

Whether you're looking to form new connections, explore collaborative opportunities, or share your ideas on how your work can engage with the wider community, Connect! is for you.

About Connect!

Connect! responds to the need identified by community groups and researchers for more informal opportunities to meet each other and share ideas and is inspired by UCL's Creating Connections events.

This programme is part of the ParticipatoryResearch@Bath project funded by Research England through the Participatory Research Funding allocation.

Laura Steen is Community Connector in the Public Engagement Unit.
