Cleveland bridge repairs and A36 road closure

Posted in: Planned road works, Road closures

With essential repairs to Cleveland bridge approaching, which will include a three month road closure of the A36 in central Bath, B&NES have launched new web pages for the project.

The updates include important information about how they will manage the effects of this major road closure and how people can get around during what will be a disruptive period. Motorists are being urged to pre-plan their journeys to avoid disruption caused by the closure or consider if other modes of travel around the city can be used.

Details of diversions for Bath city centre routes as well as outer diversions for through traffic on the A36 can be found at www.bathnes.gov.uk/clevelandbridge

Maps are available to download from the journey planning section, while the Traffic Management Plan is available within the section on ‘how we will carry out the work’.

A public webinar is taking place on Monday 29 March to explain the need for repairs and to answer questions about the scheme. Information about the webinar and registration details can be found here.
