The Transdisciplinary Engineering Conference (TE2020) Goes Virtual

Posted in: Uncategorised

The global outbreak of the Corona virus has caused major disruption in our lives, work and business. In the last few months, the ISTE board and the local organising committee had intensive discussions about what to do with the 27th International Conference on Transdisciplinary Engineering (TE2020), scheduled for 6 – 10 July 2020 in Warsaw. In the interest of the health and safety the decision was made to move the conference to a virtual mode.

Papers for the conference were submitted and subjected to peer review in the standard way. Rather than presenting their work in person, all authors were required to create a short video which will be uploaded the conference site.  The presentations will be available to be viewed (not downloaded) by registered delegates, with questions and answers posted via a chat room.

TREND have submitted five papers to the conference, with Prof Newnes also giving a keynote about our work towards a Transdisciplinary Engineering Index. An overview of these papers and a link to our presentation will be posted on our blog in July.
