This weekend we'll welcome over 780 cyclists taking part in the Deloitte Ride Across Britain as they make their way along the 980 mile route from Land's End to John O'Groats.
Riders, support staff and organisers will get to Bath on Sunday, having completed the 110 mile stage from Okehampton in Devon, and we'll be their home for the night.
This is the final big event of our commercial summer business and has contributed to us bringing in over £1 million during the last three months.
We can't wait to welcome them all and provide them with the rest and relaxation they'll need by the time they pedal in to campus. We'll be back with photos and we'll tell you how it all went next week.
The riders are not professional, which makes the distances they ride even more impressive. This is an event for anyone and everyone. It is possible to take part in the whole thing, or just certain stages. If you know somebody taking part, you can follow the route and progress of the riders.
After we wave the riders off on Monday morning, when they set off on the 99 mile journey to Ludlow, our attention will immediately turn to preparing for the arrival of our new students.
More on that soon.
