You said, we did: changes to food and drink on campus

We’re listening.

In response to your feedback on our food and drink outlets, we’ve changed our offering to suit your needs.

You said we need more healthy and affordable food options

We have reduced our prices, and introduced three new meal deals

You told us you wanted more lunchtime offers and cost-effective meals, so we are introducing three different meal deal offers in some of our outlets, all available with fresh fruit.  The new meal deals are designed to give a variety of food and drink combinations for all tastes and diets, making a convenient lunch option which is great value for money.

You can choose from:

  • Sandwich meal deal - pick up a sandwich, snack and a drink for £3.95. Snacks include crisps, popcorn, chocolate and fruit. The sandwich meal deal is available at lime tree, Sports Café and 4W Café.
  • Panini meal deal - enjoy a hot meal with a freshly-toasted panini, a hot drink and a snack for £4.95. The panini meal deal is available in lime tree, Sports Café and 4W Café, and includes the 20p discount for bringing your own cup (just add 10p if you need a takeaway cup).
  • Deli meal deal - upgrade your homemade baguette, sandwich or wrap to a meal deal by adding a drink, plus crisps or fruit, for an extra £1.25. The deli meal deal can be found in Pitstop, The Patch and Claverton Rooms.

As part of Leave No Trace, our meal deals products have been chosen to help us reduce the amount of single-use plastic we sell. Don’t forget to recycle your snack packaging - recycle points are available at a number of locations on campus.

To give even more affordable dining options, all main meal prices in Parade Bar & Grill have been reduced, as well as the price of fresh fruit and healthy grab-on-the-go snacks across campus – fruit is now 55p.

You said you wanted more vegetarian and vegan options

We have introduced a wider meat-free menu in Parade Bar & Grill

With more people opting for plant-based diets, you told us that you wanted more vegetarian and vegan options on campus. We have introduced some tasty new options in Parade Bar & Grill, with colourful nourish bowls, new burgers, and loaded potato crispers which can be made with vegan or cheddar cheese.

You said you’d like more evening and weekend food available, and more variety

We have widened our range and extended our opening hours

We have improved the range of our main meals to always include three hot meals, one of which is vegetarian. You told us that you would like to be able to eat later on campus in the evening, so we have extended Parade Bar & Grill and lime tree salad counter opening times to include Friday and Saturday evenings.

You said you would love to have more low and no alcohol options

We have introduced a new range of drinks across campus

You told us you wanted more choice of low and no alcohol drinks on campus. To support you in making your own choice and setting your own volume, we have introduced a new range of drinks available in Fresh stores and Parade Bar & Grill, including low and no alcohol beers, ciders and gins.

You said you’d like more designated spaces to study and socialise

We have created new outdoor spaces, and study areas

So that you can spend more time with friends, you told us you wanted more social spaces. To support this, we have introduced new external living spaces outside Eastwood, with covered seating, BBQs, table tennis and washing lines. You also said you wanted more study spaces, so we have introduced a new area in Polden Court which is specially designed for independent or group study.
