Bath students help local companies

A brand new initiative sees University of Bath students take on projects for local organisations while gaining valuable work skills.

The SETsquared Partnership announced the launch of IKEEP, a new initiative that aims to boost local industry by enabling skilled students to take up industry placements and foster growth and development.

The £2million programme involves the universities of Bath, Bristol, Exeter and Surrey, part-funded by the Office for Students. It connects interdisciplinary and multi-institutional student teams with regional organisations to enable high-quality knowledge exchange. The programme is designed for students at all study levels to engage with industry as business advisors, developing business model solutions and market awareness whilst enhancing student’s skills as intrapreneurs/change-makers and future employees.

The first four companies to take part in the scheme here in Bath have been selected and we're really excited to hear more about the students' contributions as they develop their projects - we'll be posting updates here on our blog so do keep an eye out!
