University Teaching Awards - celebrating excellence 2024

Posted in: awards

Each year, competition for the University Teaching Awards is substantial, with nominations showing outstanding contributions to innovative, inspired and student-centred teaching. This year we are pleased to announce we have seven awards: on top of our six long running awards, there is also a chance to nominate Personal Tutor of the Year.

We are once again looking for exceptional individuals who deliver an innovative curriculum or adopt new approaches to teaching;  who demonstrate good teaching and have exceptional student feedback; who demonstrate transformational leadership and have improved teaching practice;  who have a great track record for research and research-informed teaching, and pastoral care.

A Personal Tutor who has supported students in their studies and personal development: and a Directors of Studies who has a positive impact on the student experience.

We'd also like to hear about a team that delivers exceptional support to learning and teaching - one that contributes to the student experience and receives excellent student feedback.

This year, the nominations process for the awards has been made even easier. Simply go to the Teaching Awards website, decide which award you'd like to nominate someone for, and complete a short Microsoft Forms nomination. The nomination deadline is Friday 1st March 2024. Nominations can be made by both staff and students.

The Teaching Awards 2024 are your chance to recognise excellence and thank the academic and support staff who have had the biggest impact on the University's learning and teaching.
