Cheltenham Science Festival 2013: Preview

Posted in: Public engagement

The Cheltenham Science Festival is part of Cheltenham Festivals, and is one of the UK's leading science festivals. The CSCT has participated in the festival for the last few years and this year is no exception. This year's theme for the CSCT stall is: "How much longer...developing sustainable fuels and resources?"

The Cheltenham Science Festival will be held between 4th and 9th June 2013. The CSCT will only participate during the Family Fun Day:
11:00 – 16:00, Saturday 8th June 2013 – Imperial Gardens, Cheltenham
11:00 – 16:00, Sunday 9th June 2013 – Imperial Gardens, Cheltenham

It is nearly 3 months since Bath Taps into Science. Since then, we have improved the activities based on the feedback and advice received. We have now 're-branded' our activities; see whether you can tell what they are:

How much longer...to a life without metals?
How much longer...for fossil fuel power plants?
How much longer...to grow your own fuels?
How much longer...is the road to hydrogen?

On the other hand, we are all excited to see a rocket launch! Here is the video of a test launch, but remember: Joe and Joe are trained scientists and know what they're doing — don't try this at home!
