Was the COP test any good?

Posted in: Comment, News and Updates

I tried out my new COP test on a few websites using CITES, Ozone and Permafrost as markers.  Here are the results [ √ = found; x = not found ]:

  • Think Global – C x    O x    P x
  • Oxfam – C x    O x    P x
  • Global Learning Programme – C x    O x    P x
  • Action Aid – C x    O x    P x
  • Save the Children – C x    O x    P x
  • Christian Aid  – C x    O √     P √
  • UNESCO – C √   O √   P √
  • UNDP – C √   O √   P √

And just to test the test ...

  • WWF UK – C √   O √   P √
  • RSPB – C √  O x  P x
  • UK Wildlife Trusts – C ?   O x   P x

Although there were positive links for 'CITES', on many websites, many were to cites (as in: "Oxfam cites a report ...").  With the Wildlife Trusts, there were also lots of eager Easter references to "egg-citing".

Back to the drawing board ...
