The dissertation phase can be frightening for students. There are many things to consider in order to make sure the final product is perfect. When is the right time to start? What sort of project plan is needed? What to do if things do not go according to plan? And how to make best use of the resources available at the university throughout this process.
Our 2018 MSc student ambassadors Lyana and Lloyd have done a wonderful job in interviewing their friends from different MSc courses (Sustainable Chemical Engineering, Automotive Engineering and Engineering Design) to address these concerns and give dissertation advice for MSc students at Bath on how to succeed.
The video was recorded in September 2018 and provides a snapshot of what the dissertation phase on our MSc course is like, how it differs from the taught part of the course, along with advice for future students on how to make the most of their time at Bath.
