The project continues to progress in all areas with the internal fit out but also significant changes to the external space with the start of public realm works.

Externally the elevations of the building continue to change. Since the blog we have removed all the mast climber working platforms. With their removal we now get a clear view of the finished façade. We are ongoing with the final details and capping pieces, but the cladding is coming to a close. With these works progressing we are now underway installation the soffit bracketry and insulation to the north and west elevation to enable cladding install in these zones. At roof level five and six the team and now also completed the installation of the louvre screens to the plant housing enable M&E services install to commence. At ground level and level one terrace, steel support beams have been installed to the exhaust pits to enable the air grilles to be placed which is currently underway.

Groundworks have restarted on site in multiple areas. To the west gable we have completed the reduce dig to provide access for the installation of the substation waterproofing and cladding. To the south gable, reduce dig is underway to enable access to form the service entries to the building. To the north we have since installed the water main and service ducts to this zone. We have also received handover from the University for the public realm works. This has now extended site beyond the original footprint extending to 4ES, 8E building and the arrivals square. We are underway extending our current hoarding line to encompass this work area. Groundworks are subsequently underway with the reduce dig to this zone.

Internally we are ongoing with the installation of mechanical and electrical services to the basement given the volume that is to be installed. We have commenced with the low-level mechanical installation to the lecture theatres and completed the high-level install in these areas also. We continue with services installation throughout the toilet cores and risers at all levels. Drylining continues to progress with boarding now ongoing at high level to the main auditorium. Level five stair cores two and three are completed to enable scaffold removal. We have also formed the lobbies to these stair cores at the lower levels. Lecture theatres are plastered, and we are closing out 2nd boarding to comms rooms to progress with plastering.
