boules

Omniboules is the group of Omnibus members and partners/friends who meet socially to play petanque (a.k.a. boules). Omnibus has kindly sponsored us to play again in the Bath League de Petanque, which holds matches on alternate Tuesdays starting at 6pm in Queen Square (first one is 9th May) leading up to the finals in September. As we play three games in an evening, and we can field a different threesome for each match, it means that up to nine members can have a go. We are always keen to welcome new players; no experience is needed, we play for enjoyment.

If you would like to try out the game, we will be meeting – weather permitting - for a lunchtime practice tomorrow Wednesday 3 May, between 1.15pm and 2pm, on the piste at Claverton Community Hall, just outside the campus. To get there, walk South past the Chem Research and BUCS buildings to Bathwick Hill and turn left, up to where it joins Widcombe Hill. Please come along.

If you aren’t able to make it tomorrow, but would like to be put on the Omniboules mailing list, just email me.
