Let's talk about...three things to do with menopause

Posted in: Employee Wellbeing, Mental Health

We have spoken quite a bit about menopause in the last year or so and we will be speaking about it even more during 2024.

This is because the University of Bath has become a member of Menopause in the Workplace which will enable us to access a variety of resources.

  1. The first one to let you know about is a webinar, Let's talk about menopause which is available for you to join on Tuesday 23 January 10:00 to 11:30. If this is something you are interested in and available for then please let us know by contacting employeewellbeing@bath.ac.uk and we will send you the link to join. This session is open to all colleagues, whether you’re going through perimenopause or menopause yourself, or are providing support for a partner, family member, friend, colleague or a member of your team who you line manage. If you can’t make it, not to worry, we are expecting to run additional events.
  2. If you are not already a member of the Menopause Matters support group, then you might like to know about the next event on campus on 30 January, 12.30pm to 1.30pm in 2.55, 10 East. Please let Melanie Torrance know on mdt31@bath.ac.uk and you can be added to the Teams site so you'll get all the updates and information.
  3. We would like to recruit a range of people from across the University who are interested in supporting menopause at work. While not everyone will personally experience menopausal symptoms, supporting those who do will improve their experience at work. This is an opportunity to provide additional resources to the 1,010 members of our staff who are potentially in the perimenopause/menopause phase. The initial training will take place on campus on Wednesday 20 March, 09:30 to 12:30. If you are interested in this volunteer role and are available, then please do let us know as soon as possible by emailing employeewellbeing@bath.ac.uk
