It was a pleasure to be given the opportunity to speak in the Women in Materials Seminar held at Rolls Royce Filton on the 18th April. The seminar focused on careers, mentoring and networking.
Our talk was titled “ What can the Womens’ Engineering Society do for you?”. We gave a brief introduction on WES and the different range of activities, awards and events it organises. We then introduced WESBath and talked about what we have been up to in the past few years including the events and outreach we have arranged and been involved in.
Professor Semali Perera also spoke at the Seminar , talking about managing work/life balance.
We also enjoyed listening to the other talks and networking with other women in engineering. Overall, it was a great afternoon!
