Posted in: Uncategorised

The Centre for Learning & Learning is excited to announce the third in its popular Talk Teaching Series, which will be held on Friday, 26th January, 2018 at The Edge's Ensemble Room, at 3.30pm, followed by a post-event reception.

In a Question Time-style event, invited panelists Alan Hayes (Computer Science), Christine Edmead (Pharmacy and Pharmacology) and Peter Sloan (Physics) will come together to discuss the future development of university science education.

Questions will be invited in advance and from the audience in an event that promises to foster a lively debate. Likely topics include the impact of changes to secondary education on university science students' skills and expectations; the changing employment landscape for scientists; the evolution of science disciplines, themselves; and the future role of current teaching modes in university science departments.

Andy Pitchford, Head of the Centre for Learning & Teaching will be at the helm for this event. If you have a question(s) you'd like him to put to the panel, please email: s.b.watts@bath.ac.uk by 25th January.
