Ahead of his trip to the European Psychology Learning and Teaching Conference, we caught up with Richard Joiner, recent winner of the University's prestigious Mary Tasker award.

Richard will be live tweeting and posting video interviews direct from the conference next week. Join him 18-20 September by following @clt_bath.

Acknowledged widely for his enthusiasm and passion for his subject, Richard is looking forward to Paul Kirschner's  keynote, Educational urban legends. Busting persistent myths in education and psychology. "Paul is entertaining and often controversial", Richard said, "what he has to say is very interesting and I use a lot of his ideas in my own teaching."

Educational opportunities and discussion forums will include presentations on active learning methods and student involvement, as well as sharing of practical experience, and discussion on wider issues in learning and teaching in Psychology.

"The scientific program will offer a broad and interdisciplinary spectrum of current research work in teaching and learning of Psychology", said Erich Müller Vice-Rector for Teaching Affairs at the University of Salzburg. "Internationally well-known scientists will present their keynotes, many colleagues from all over the world will discuss their scientific findings in oral or poster presentations."
