During September the Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) team have provided support for staff to prepare for semester one. This blog post outlines the support TEL have offered, how to catch up if you've missed our communications, and upcoming plans to support staff.
Preparing for Semester One
Workshops
As part of the APDaS Option pathway, TEL delivered a series of online workshops open to all staff to help them prepare for semester one. These were designed to cover the topics that commonly raise questions at this time of year, including What's New in Moodle, Re:View Essentials, and Moodle Housekeeping. The sessions were a chance for TEL to reach a large groups and for staff to ask questions ahead of semester one. Another benefit was being able to put faces to names, albeit in a virtual environment. Thank you to all those who attended.
One-to-one Bookings
Between 22nd-24th September TEL offered staff a chance to book a 30 minute online one-to-one with a Learning Technologist or Instructional Designer. Feedback suggests that these sessions were greatly appreciated. In three days we received more than 20 bookings on a range of topics such as, How can I edit videos in Re:View? What are my options for running quizzes in Moodle? And How do I run a peer assessment activity on Moodle?
