Helping you prepare for Semester One - staff development opportunities for learning and teaching

Posted in: Academic staff development, events, learning and teaching, technology enhanced learning

The Centre for Learning & Teaching is launching a range of staff development opportunities to help you prepare for the new academic year.

Activities and resources on offer are part of the Academic Professional Development for all Staff (APDaS) curriculum.  The Option sessions are open to all staff who teach or who support learning and teaching and assessment, including professional services staff. For staff following pathways to HEA fellowship (for probationers or experienced staff members), the Option sessions supplement the core curriculum with in-depth pedagogic and technical knowledge on key topics.

In September, we are offering a series of events which will help you get ready for the start of Semester One. This includes sessions providing practical tips and updates on core learning technologies such as Moodle VLE and Re:View (Panopto) lecture capture, as well as in person learning in teaching spaces and digital accessibility in Moodle.

The TEL team are also offering bookable one-to-one support immediately before the start of semester to help answer your technology enhanced learning queries.

If you are not able to attend a scheduled event you will soon be able to access a range of self-paced online resources in your own time. We will be gradually rolling out these new resources from early September.

Finally, you may wish to arrange a tailored on-request workshop for your department or team. Most workshops can be delivered at three-weeks' notice.
