This June, colleagues from across the University of Bath are invited to come together for EduFest 2026, our annual Learning and Teaching Festival — now expanded into a full week of exploration, connection and inspiration.

Taking place from Monday 15 to Friday 19 June, EduFest 2026 offers a varied programme designed to support reflection on teaching practice, innovation, and spark ideas that enhance student learning and experience. With sessions delivered online, in person and in hybrid formats, the week is designed to be flexible and accessible to colleagues across all roles and disciplines.

Keynote Speakers

A highlight of the week will be our keynote sessions, featuring:

  • James Norman, University of Bath: Sharing is caring – how sharing our practice enables us all to be better teachers. James will explore how openness, creativity and shared learning can strengthen teaching across disciplines.
  • Dr Rushana Khusainova, University of Bristol: Visibility and Personal Brand for Career Development. Rushana will focus on how educators can develop their professional presence and thrive in a changing higher education landscape.

What to Expect Across the Week

  • Monday (Online) opens EduFest with a warm welcome and a series of talks focused on student engagement, active learning and inclusive assessment, followed by a practical workshop on interactive learning technologies.
  • Tuesday (Hybrid) continues with discussions on authentic assessment, and Team‑Based Learning alongside an applied workshop exploring Assessment for Learning principles.
  • Wednesday (In Person) brings the EduFest community together on campus for a full day celebrating teaching excellence, including keynote sessions, Teaching Excellence Award winners, Centre for Learning & Teaching showcases including the 10 year celebration of the department, parallel practice‑sharing sessions and networking over lunch.
  • Thursday (Online) with sessions on decolonising the curriculum, accessibility, sustainability pathways and supporting student success.
